Delete your Seeme account

You can ask for your Seeme account and the data that belongs to it to be deleted at any time.

How to request deletion

1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Seeme account".
2. Include the phone number (with country code) and the username of the account.
3. We may send a message to that number or account to confirm the request really comes from you.

We complete deletion within 30 days of confirming the request and tell you when it is done.

What is deleted

• Your profile: phone number, name, username, profile photo and any linked Google email address
• Your messages, photos, videos and voice notes
• Your moments, reactions and replies
• Your friends list, friend requests and blocked list
• Your call history
• The push-notification tokens for your devices

What may be kept, and for how long

• Copies in routine backups are removed as those backups are replaced, within 30 days.
• Messages you sent remain in the conversations of the people you sent them to, shown as from a deleted account.
• Records we are legally required to keep, such as reports of abuse involving the account, are kept only as long as the law requires.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
